The author has studied the biomorphological characteristics (length of shoot, mass of leaves, stem and ear) and the formation of stomatal apparatus on top and lower sides in leaves of different levels (length, width and density of stomas) in wheat shoots of the Saratovskaya 29 variety in model experiment under drought conditions. It was shown, that during sharp deficit of water in soil the shoot biomass was reduced more than 10 times, linear dimensions of stomatas decreased slightly but their number was rising to 1.5 or 3-fold.
