The collection of Mazaev benefactors in the funds of Felitsyn state museum-reserve of history and archeology of Krasnodar

The article studies the charity work of Mazaev father and son in the context of shaping the funds of Kuban Military Museum of Ethnography and Natural History. It is concluded that the collection of I.I. Mazaev had no strict thematic orientation. The authors identify and describe the main sections of the collection (numismatics, phaleristics, weapons, mineralogy). The particularly important role of private collections in the formation of museum exhibitions is emphasized.
