Paintings and graphic arts of shikotan artists in the collection of Primorsky state art gallery

Basing on the painting and graphic arts collection of Shikotan artist group, the author analyses new trends that were brought by Primorye artists to the development of Far Eastern landscape as an object of self-expression. The main emphasis of the research is made on the art language originality of the Shikotan group representatives such as I.A. Kuznetsov, I.A. Ionchenkov, V.S. Rachyov, V.A. Serov, V.I. Syomkin, Yu.I. Volkov in the collection of the Primorye state art gallery. The Shikotan period of their creative work is studied as a platform for new ways of improvement in graphic arts and painting. The also author generalizes some facts and significant moments of their art biography.
