Collective gardening and dacha farming: is there an alternative entity?

The author analyzes the existing civil law model citizens conducting collective gardening, gardening and dacha farming in Russia and similar models operating abroad. We consider the main advantages and disadvantages of conducting collective gardening and country economy through the creation of non-profit association of citizens. Proposed possible alternative approaches of legal regulation in the sphere of economy, such as the use of the contractual model, consolidation of mutual rights and duties of gardeners, gardeners and summer residents on the basis of the decisions of the general meetings.
