Currently, domestic tourism is one of the key areas for stimulating economic growth, both at the national level and in specific regions. Russian regions have significant tourist resources and potential, the use of which is becoming a priority for increasing the tourist flow and developing the tourist infrastructure. Each region has unique cultural traditions and a variety of natural landscapes, which creates attractive conditions for travelers from both Russia and abroad. Among the regions of the Russian Federation, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra and its capital Khanty-Mansiysk can provide tourist programs in a wide variety of tourism areas.: active and ecological tourism, business and cultural-educational, ethnographic and industrial tourism, and others. For the development of tourism and an increase in the tourist flow, an important component is the level of quality and quantity of collective accommodation facilities in the region. The article provides a statistical and analytical overview of the number and types of collective accommodation facilities in Russia and in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, evaluates the number of rooms in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk, and makes proposals for measures aimed at increasing the tourist flow in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug –Yugra and Khanty-Mansiysk, It also provides an overview of the regulatory legal acts governing the provision of services by collective accommodation facilities.
