The article introduces readers to the history of the Museum-reserve on the site of the former Royal residence in Kolomenskoye. The first director of the museum was the architect-restorer P.D. Baranovsky. The events that took place at that time in Kolomensky were full of drama. But thanks to these circumstances, the Moscow estate became a state museum-reserve.
