The complex and contradictory trends in relation to globalization processes and the increasing interdependence of states and peoples, on the one hand, and the growing desire of the individual ethnic and confessional entities to preserve their identity, on the other hand, determine the modern development of the international political system. Many current political, social and economic tendencies that defined the contradictions of the modern globalization development model emerged during the colonial era. They were associated with the occurrence of major colonial systems, where the British colonial Empire played a special and crucial role. The analysis of the consequent changes and the survey of the British developing colonial strategy have been and remain the topical area of study within the domestic and international historical science. This paper reviews some aspects of reflecting the interwar period in British and American historiography, describes the complex processes of this period caused by the gradual transformation of the largest colonial system in the 1920s and 1930s.
