Colonization of the world: destruction and integration of peoples

The article examines the conceptual content of the colonization process. Over the course of history, expansionist, characteristic of Western civilization, and integration, characteristic of Russian civilization, methods of colonization have been formed. The consequence of Western colonial expansion was the destruction of peoples, the exploitation of resources and the relegation of cultures. Russian development of territories led to the integration of ethnic groups, the preservation of cultures, the creation of a space of equal opportunities and the achievement of national unity.
