Combinational ability of pigs of the Civil breed and its use in breeding programs

Indicators of productive qualities of pigs of the Civil breed, one of the breeds bred in the conditions of the Chuvash Republic, when crossed with pigs of other (large white, large black, Estonian bacon, Welsh) breeds are studied. The studies were conducted in three regions: Tula, Ryazan regions and the Chuvash Republic, and the compatibility of pigs with other breeds was studied both as a maternal and paternal form. The obtained data allowed us to conclude that the best fattening qualities were obtained when combining civil pigs with Welsh pigs, and in terms of reproductive qualities when combined with a large white breed, it gives reason to believe that the genetic potential of productivity of civil pigs can be used in industrial complexes both in the form of paternal and maternal forms when working with all domestic breeds of pigs.
