The author explores the work ofA.P. Chekhov in terms of communicativeness, the communicative category of sound and its pragmatic functions, the verbal and the non-verbal discourse, the use of myth by A.P. Chekhov to expand the interpretative possibilities of the work. The French writer Marcel Aime reveals a mythological creature, introducing it into everyday life, thereby expanding the concept of communicability in the verbal and the non-verbal discourse.
