Communication practices of power-to-youth interaction (a sociological survey)

Youth being a specific social and demographic group, is an object of study in sociology. The sociologist’ range of interests encompasses values and needs/ requirements of young people, the way they feel in the community, level of socializing for youngsters, a position and part taken by youth in society’ structure. So far an opportunity to carry on research on the set of problems regarding power -to- youth interaction stays on the fringes of Russian sociologist’ concern, in spite of the fact that the youth policy nowadays being part of the Russian interior political course. Awakening of researcher’ interest to this set of problems has been caused by changes in power -to- youth relations having occurred in the contemporary Russian communication practice. The paper presented a sociological survey of existing formats of communicative interactions between the State and youth, having picked out the major factors influencing the integration, and also determined reference points for the strategy of further development of relations between the authorities and Russian youngsters.
