The paper investigates the use of journalistic and advertizing discourses in the headlines of advertizing materials with the purpose of implementing the writers' intents. The author provides examples to demonstrate the use of the journalistic discourse to attract the readers' attention and to disguise the underlying advertizing intents of the material.
