Comparative analysis of current crime trends in European countries

This article examines a comparative analysis of the state of crime in the European Union as a whole, using the example of Bulgaria and Russia in particular. It is proved that the state of crime in different countries is a reflection of the geopolitical events of recent years. The increase in indicators in European countries for such types of crimes as theft, robbery and murder is discussed, while Russian indicators tend to significantly decrease. The reasons for such a different crime pattern in the EU and Russia are analyzed.
