Comparative analysis of the legal regulation of the cosmetic industry in the EU and the USA

The European and American cosmetic markets are currently the largest in the world. Their functioning sets the vector for the development of the entire cosmetic industry. In this regard, the study of the peculiarities of the legal regulation of the cosmetic business in the European Union and the United States of America at the present stage is of particular interest. This article compares the main content of the current legal framework for the cosmetics industry in the EU and the US. As a result of the study, it was determined that the European and American legal regulation in the field of the cosmetic business is similar and is mainly aimed at ensuring the safety of cosmetic products for consumers.
