The competence approach in education

Russian system of education has been actively reformed over a period of more than two decades. This point has been related to both search for ways of renewing the system that had taken shape in the Soviet period, and to global trend that demonstrated growing requirements to quality' education, alterations to social and cultural context, globalization processes in modern society that extended the living space of an individual while making at the same time constantly growing demands to human beings.
