Cybercrime: advance in the understanding of fraud or a lawmaker's mistake?

The article is concerned with the study of a new specific kind of fraud - a computer-oriented crime. The problem is that badly formulated legislative provision in Article 159.6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation contradicts a classical definition of fraud and creates a lot of problems in practice: beginning with searching for characteristics of fraud in the frame of cybercrime and ending with differentiation of Article 159.6 and cybercrime. Consistent study of the text of Article 159.6 suggests irrelevancy of this article in the Criminal Code of Russian Federation.
