Computer games and cognitive abilities of a preschool child

The paper presents the study results on cognitive power development in preschool children, those who play computer games and don't. The study involved a sampling of 270 children of a late preschool age. The results have shown that the level of cognitive abilities in children playing computer games is higher than the level of cognitive abilities in children who don't. Both cognitive strategy' and development games are considered rather conducive to cognitive development than action games (shooters), arcade games and adventure games.
