The GIS complex in economic calculations of oil and gas fields

Activity of engineers of oil industry workers is connected with studying of oil and gas fields which stocks are in Earth subsoil at a depth from 200 m and more. Direct observation at such depth is impossible, and as the analysis use data which are obtained by means of technologies of remote collecting. Among such methods the most widespread is the GIS complex which includes methods of electrode potentials, radioactive logging, etc. The description of a physical entity of GIS, scope and also its role in case of the decision of geological tasks is briefly provided in this article.
