Comprehensive methodology for estimating the number of illegal labor migrants in Russia

The article presents a comprehensive methodology that allows to estimate the total number of illegal labor migrants in Russia for a certain period of time, and separately by categories of migrants depending on their country of origin using an indirect method of assessing labor flows. The developed by the author complex technique allows to identify and establish the nature of the relationship between the individual indicators of migration labor flows. Method of estimating loss budgets from illegal labor activities allows us to quantitatively determine the amount of damage to the budgets inflicted by the illegal labour migrants working without permits and not issuing formal contracts with employers.
