Complex regional pain syndrome: clinic, diagnosis, treatment

The scientific work highlights the main issues of complex regional pain syndrome. A brief historical background on the treatment and diagnosis of this disease is given. The article provides a definition, a brief description of risk factors, epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical picture of complex regional pain syndrome, outlines the basic principles of treatment of this disease. Timely diagnosis and early treatment of the disease are of great importance. All patients need medication therapy, physiotherapy, physical therapy, rehabilitation, psychological support throughout the disease. Drug therapy is represented by a number of groups of drugs: glucocorticosteroids, NSAIDs, analgesics, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, calcitonin, muscle relaxants, bisphosphonates, antagonists of ionotropic glutamate receptors. Interventional and surgical treatment is also assigned a role.
