Today, one of the urgent problems facing agriculture is its biologization. That is, maximum or complete substitution of highly hazardous preparations used in crop production with environmentally friendly for humans and environment. One of the elements of biologization is the pre-sowing treatment of seeds with biologically active substances, which makes it possible to obtain safe products and reduce the pesticide load. Pre-sowing treatment of seeds is much more profitable than the traditional approach, since it eliminates the treatment of crops during the growing season. The purpose of this work was the development and scientific substantiation of a protective-stimulating composition for pre-sowing treatment of seeds of leguminous crops, which has adaptogenic and anti-stress properties. The research task was to study the effect of the developed composition of the preparation on the development of soybean and pea seedlings under optimal and extreme conditions in the initial period of ontogenesis. Laboratory experiments were carried out on soybean (Zusha and Osmonia) and pea (Estafeta and Spartak) varieties of the 2018 harvest, grown in FSBSI «Federal Scientific Center of Legumes and Groat Crops», Orel region. Each experimental and control sample consisted of 50 seeds. Repetition - 4 times. In the work the method of P.P. Vavilov was used, the work was carried out in accordance with GOST 12038-84. In the work the following methods were used: observation, counting, measurement, analysis and synthesis. The obtained results indicate that the test solution for pre-sowing treatment of seeds had a pronounced stimulating effect on the growth and development of soybean and pea seedlings, including under conditions of water stress, provided the best nutrition of the experimental plants, which undoubtedly will affect the adaptive resistance in the field conditions and, as a result, the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of crop yields. Pre-sowing treatment with microbiological preparations will allow realizing the maximum economic effect, due to the highest profitability of agricultural production by obtaining environmentally friendly products while maintaining the planned high productivity.
