During the Second World War, Nazi Germany actively used concentration camps as prisons. The basis of such camps was made up of people of the so-called lower race - gypsies, Jehovah's Witnesses, Jews, but there were also prisoners of war from the occupied countries, including soldiers of the Red Army. The liquidation of such camps made it possible to save the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, some of whom still live with us to this day, recalling with horror those terrible days spent in Nazi concentration camps. It is very important not to forget history and not to forget the sacrifices that our ancestors made in order to protect their countries, cities, families from the Third Reich.
