The study presents the basics of integrating functionality of augmented logistics and physical Internet, comparable to the use of applications on digital Internet. Augmented logistics is based on the concept of increasing the efficiency of product movement, by separating information and physical operations in the supply chain. Ownership and control of resources are obtained through information applications on the Internet instead of physical control. This assumption eliminates numerous operational constraints and allows more efficient use of shared resources even though maintaining the advantages of single-user control. The symbiosis of the concepts of physical Internet, logistics and virtuality implies a new approach to the movement of goods across the entire logistics network and supply chain. To integrate augmented logistics and the physical Internet, it is proposed to create a stable model of physical Internet system. Its structure will be divided into three different domains: global (world), regional (European, Asian or other) and local (user network), which will have to interact harmoniously with each other. Proposed structure will be used to develop the capabilities needed to implement key concepts of commodity movement, create various scenarios for logistics development, use the potential of the data monitoring, and improve the safety of cargo and digital data movement.
