An eco-friendly economy is an approach that seeks to incorporate environmental and economic considerations into decision-making processes. By optimizing resource usage and minimizing waste, government agencies, businesses, and individuals can work together towards this goal. Balancing these interests can lead to projects that are both environmentally friendly and economically viable. An eco-friendly economic policy forms the basis for setting goals and objectives to improve environmental performance in business and organizations. Through the application of environmental and economic principles and strategies, we can achieve more sustainable, economically efficient, and balanced development. Economic growth can be combined with environmental protection to ensure the well-being of all citizens. The fundamental principles of the ecological approach to economics are the following elements: sustainable use of natural resources; measures aimed at minimizing the negative impact on the environment; increasing energy efficiency; promoting green business and innovation; degree of awareness and education in the field of environmentally-oriented systems. Questions arise about the development of methods and approaches to assessing activities that make it possible to take into account the environmental component in industrial production. It is very difficult to take into account the specifics of regions in a single methodology, which must be taken into account in the calculation of the economic efficiency of projects aimed at improving the environmental aspect in industry, especially in the chemical industry and mechanical engineering.
