The article is devoted to the history of formation of dialectic-materialistic image of mathematics. It analyses the concept of A. N. Kolmogorov's mathematics. It also discusses the evolution of the definition of mathematics given in the Great Soviet Encyclopedia. It reveals the philosophical bases and features of Kolmogorov's ideas about the structure of mathematical theory.
