The concept of a revolutionary-democratic state in the scientific heritage of V.E. Chirkin

In the article, the author studies the monograph of V.E. Chirkin «Revolutionary Democratic State of Modernity», published in 1984 and analyzes the concept of the revolutionary-democratic state. The author reveals the concept of a revolutionary-democratic state, proposed by V.E. Chirkin, and associates it with Leninist ideas. A brief analysis of the individual parts of the monograph is given. The conclusion is made about the originality and actuality of the question on a revolutionary-democratic state as a transitional type to socialism for that period of time. The author notes the huge amount of work carried out by V.E. Chirkin. Meanwhile, it is stated that this topic is no longer relevant for modern science, because most of the former socialist countries went back to capitalism.
