A community of shared future for mankind developed by the paramount leaders of China plays an important role in the era of globalization and the development of Russia’s relations with Southeast Asia. The research analyzes the interdependence between this concept and the Chinese cultural and civilizational identity. Nowadays, there has been a strong interest in Chinese traditional culture and spiritual pillars. In this regard, the Chinese concept of a community of shared future for mankind is consistent not only with the basic principles of Chinese civilization, the essential ideas about harmony and agreement in case of disagreement, the fundamental knowledge of great unity, the union of heaven and human but also with the cultural needs and interests of people all over the world. The author concludes that different people and cultures lose their identity today. To find the ways to cope with the challenges of other cultures and choose the right development strategy are the pivotal tasks for any country.
