The fundamental theses and notions of the self-organization theory and C. Hardy's theory of «semantic constellations» built on the basis of the complexity theory, the chaos theory and the idea of synergy are briefly viewed in the article. The theory of «semantic constellations» is considered as a practicable complex approach to the problem of concept treated as the basic unit of the human mental life
