In Alexander Tvardovsky’s works the image of the family is conceptual in nature. Hence his poetic lines, dedicated to the mother, the father, to brothers, and to the Zagorye farm, the poet’s home. This is a world open to meet the man, the world of love and kindness, benevolence, and traditional folk morality. The concept of the family based on blood ties, develops into the concept of the Motherland and State.
