War concept as a fragment of English-speaking linguistic and cultural thinking

The conceptual mapping of war by the English-speaking community is based on the figurative understanding of the above phenomenon. In the paper the attempt to analyze the language from the point of definitional, contextual, comparative and metaphorical nominations of war concept has been made.
