Conceptualization of inability to visual perception in Russian language

The article is aimed to study the conceptualization of inability to visual perception in Russian language. To achieve this goal, the ways of concept verbalization in the language are determined, the analysis of the dictionary entries of lexical units naming the concept, are carried out, and the collocations formed by these lexical units are considered. The material of the study is the data from explanatory dictionaries of Russian language and Russian national corpus. As a result of the analysis, the main characteristics of the inability to visual perception are determined, the role of independent parts of speech in the expression of this semantics is identified, and the system of figurative meanings formed around the inability to visual perception is characterized.
