Conceptual bases of sustainable development of regional forest sector: theory, methodology, practice

A new approach to estimation of sustainable development of the regional forest sector is described taking into account systemic integrity of its structure. A new methodology for calculating the level of sustainable development is suggested arising from the synthetic model of dual forest sector: forest economy - forest use, as well as the indices of basic social relations. The conditions, possibilities and limitations for sustainable development of the forest sector are considered. Methodological and practical research possibilities of this problem are shown.
