Conceptual approach to the analysis of local communities as an aspect of socio-cultural field

This article describes the methodological approach to solving the problem of a holistic description of the local community. The author represents the model of the local community, which is considered as a socio-cultural field. The concept of community is built on the basis of a combination of the strengths of the different models and analysis capabilities: neuro-linguistic levels of human behavior, social competence, individual and personal fields of socio-cultural field, orientation-behavioral model of speech situation culture, rhetorical genre of social action. The community concept allows analyzing the field at two levels: institutional and individual, each of them consisting of the elements, which the author discusses in detail. The connection of different approaches in the analysis of the local community has a significant potential for the development of the theory and practice of local government.
