The article discusses the main elements and the conceptual approach to the process of formation of the economic and managerial strategy for the development of the creative industry as an actual driver for the growth of its effectiveness. The theoretical foundations of the strategic planning of the studied industry have been developed, a general scheme has been developed for the structural elements of the strategy. Typical qualification profiles (competencies) for the formulation and implementation of regulatory strategies by the creative director of the entrepreneurial structures of the creative industry are proposed.
