Concessions in the Soviet economy: creation, difficulties of functioning and liquidation

The article analyzes the issues of concessions’ establishment in the Soviet economy, relations between concessioners and the Soviet authorities and banks. On the base of the archival documents revealed, the author finds out that despite understanding the necessity of foreign investments for the Soviet economy, the concessionaires were not provided with state support. The article covers reasons of abruption and liquidation of concessions in a socialistic state.
