«Fin de si`ecle». The first cinema in Perm

The article is devoted to social, economic and cultural conditions of appearance of cinema in Perm at the end of the XIXth century. Scientific and technological progress varied everyday life of the Russian city making it full of new phenomena, one of which was the cinema. History of the new kind of entertainment in Perm is regarded, early cinema is analysed in the light of the demands of the Russian province.
