Supply chain configurations in electronic cross-border wholesale of low-value equipment

The paper discusses the configuration features of international supply chains in electronic cross-border trade in low-value equipment. The positive impact of changes in accounting standards in the Russian Federation in favor of liberalizing the establishment of the marginal cost of fixed assets on expanding the list of non-strategic goods to be purchased on the basis of procurement procedures in electronic format, including abroad, is argued. The role of organizers of electronic cross-border trade in the formation of international supply chains is characterized. Particular attention is paid to the organizational and economic features of the formation of economic relations in the electronic crossborder wholesale trade in low-value equipment between Chinese and Russian enterprises. A separate emphasis is placed on the analysis of factors that predetermine the level of service offered by a logistics integrator involved in an international transaction. The authors draw attention to the fact that there are no prospects for strategic cooperation between the customer of low-value Chinese-made equipment and its manufacturers if they are disclosed by the organizer of electronic cross-border trade. Typical schemes for concluding international supply contracts in electronic cross-border wholesale trade are characterized. The existence of the combinational complexity of economic relations between Russian and Chinese enterprises, which are established within the framework of electronic cross-border wholesale trade in low-value Chinese-made equipment, is argued. Reasons for this phenomenon are substantiated. Typical configurations of supply chains in electronic cross-border wholesale trade in low-value equipment are presented and characterized, as well as the results of an assessment of the structural reliability of these supply chains, taking into account the characteristics of trade and logistics intermediation. The need to take into account other components of this reliability (functional and parametric) is also motivated.
