Conflict of authority between organizers of peasants’ military service in Karelia of XVII century

Some aspects of everyday relations between Olonets military commander Prince Fedor Volkonskii and a nobleman Vasilii Zolotarev are outlined in the article. They both were invested with the duty to organize peasants’ military service in 1649 in Zaonezhskiy Pogost. The main attention is given to the conflict of authority and its consequences: deadline violation of the tsar’s decree realization.
