The conservative treatment for postmastectomy lymphedema of upper extremities including lymphotropic and physiotherapeutic techniques in addition to the conventional treatment resulted in the reduction in cumulative circumference of the affected extremity by 5,8 % and 20 % reduction in the subcutaneous fat thickness. According to reolymphovasography findings, the rate and volume of venous drainage increased by 17,7 % and 38,5 %, respectively in comparison with pre-treatment values. This method for treating patients with postmastectomy lymphedema of upper extremities stimulates nerve-musle apparatus, results in inclusion of collaterals in blood flow and improves tissue trophism.
