The South Korean society in its daily activities is focused on safety, achievement and conformity, keeping social stability, obedience, respect for parents and elders. Self-realization in professional sphere, competence, personal success and social approval are also very important. Modern Koreans are characterized by restraint of actions that can potentially harm others or these actions do not meet social expectations.
