Consolidation of the Russian banking industry in the conditions of the financial crisis: market of merger

Consolidation is the general tendency of the banking industry development. Bank extension promotes the increase of banking system stability. It is especially urgent in the conditions of the global crisis of liquidity and mortgage crisis which decreased abilities of Russian banks in raising funds for financial crediting. The article covers the analysis of banks' merger processes and their influence on economics.
