Konstantin Aksakov on the “Russian outook” (1830-1840)

This article is devoted to the emergence of the philosophical views of the Russian Slavophile thinker Konstantin Aksakov (1817-1860), submited in honor of the bicentennial of his birth. In the context of drawing up his intellectual biography, some of the sources for his ideas at the early stages of his life and literary works are identified. Te importance of the family in forming the views of the future Slavophile is demonstrated. Te author also reviews Aksakov's participation in the discussion club of N. Stankevich, his travel through Europe, membership in the discussion group of Khomyakov, and some of the early topics discussed by the emerging Slavophile movement, especially the forms and ways of dissemination of the “Russian Outlook”. In this article, a brief review of some of the theses defended in Aksakov's master's dissertation on Lomonosov are presented. Tis dissertation can be viewed as an important stage in the emergence of his views on Russia and Russian culture.
