In this article the author analyzes the constitutional value characteristics of human rights and freedoms, proves the supreme value of human life which is exposed to serious threats at the present moment. The necessity for affirma-tion of the genuine axiological dimension of rights and freedoms in the constitutional law has been substantiat-ed.
