Constitutional and legal bases of ideology in the Russian Federation

Introduction: The aim of the study was to study various approaches to the interpretation of the concept of ideology, the process of its consolidation in the legal acts of the country at various stages of its development, as well as its influence on the formation of the legal culture of society. Materials and Methods: the normative basis of the study is the Constitution of the Russian Federation, federal and regional legislation, which affects the formation of the ideological foundations of the processes of education and goal-setting in the activities of state authorities and local self-government. The methodological foundation of the study is the general dialectical method of scientific knowledge, as well as deduction methods, the comparative legal method, analysis, synthesis and other tools through which one can learn legal regulation in the problems of the constitutional foundations of ideology in the Russian Federation. The results of the study: provide an opportunity to reconsider the legal foundations of ideology in the Russian Federation and its significance in the formation of the rule of law and civil society. The article attempts to prove the need to establish a constitutional ideology in the Russian Federation, as well as the possibility of its normative consolidation. Findings and Conclusions: in the course of the analysis of the norms governing social relations in the sphere of the ideological function of the Russian state, significant shortcomings were identified and ways to eliminate them were proposed.
