Constructing a positive image of the North Caucasus federal district as a factor in counteracting to ethnopolitical crises

The article considers the historical and sociocultural bases of the civil integration of the North Caucasus and their influence on the formation of a positive image of the region. The paper explained the significance of the principle of cultures dialogue as the basis for the existence of the North Caucasian macro-region, and its perception in the public consciousness. The study revealed interrelation between the destructive ideas and the state of sociopolitical relations. The relevance of the problem is determined by the growing importance of the purposeful construction of a positive image of the region to achieve ethnopolitical stability in the conditions of the modern information society.
