Construction of a professional career in the political sphere in Russian society

The paper deals with the comprehension of constructing of professional career in the political sphere of the Russian society as a unique and original activity. The stages of the construction of a professional career in contemporary Russia are discussed. Social factors of the success of the process of constructing of political career are identified. These factors are specified not only by the mental program of the individual, but also by social and cultural features of the career space that actualize the role of the conjuncture conditions and patron-customer relationship. The analysis of the results of interviews on the basis of the author’s study is conducted. The author analyzes the main resources that contribute to the successful construction of the career at different stages, and ways of legitimating the status and factors of career limitation.
