Consultation as technology of social work with elderly people

In article the relevance of consultation in the sphere of social work with elderly people in modern conditions of development of the Russian society is considered. The role of consultation as technologies of social work, directed to stimulation of development of the potential which is available for elderly people, abilities of permission of problem situations and also abilities to develop various strategies of behavior is defined and it is conscious them to follow. Main types of social consultation of elderly people and specifics of its carrying out are revealed. The conclusion is drawn that consultation as technology, irrespective of its typs, in modern conditions extends in various areas of activity of the Russian society and gets support not only in the system of social protection of the population, but also in the social sphere in general.
