Control and supervision over the activities of the Russian police as a way to ensure the rule of law

The subject of the study is the activities of the police in Russia and its control and supervision. The basis of the research methodology was the General scientific method of cognition-analysis. The article deals with the problem of conceptual apparatus of control and supervision over the activities of the Russian police, as well as their types. The authors note that certain types of control established by the legislation are not effective and do not meet the intended purpose.
