The operability of the grinding wheel

The article deals with issues related to the performance of grinding wheels, which is largely determined by the resistance. The studies devoted to complex models of wear are considered. The possibilities of energy research methods are established. The use of energy approach allows to obtain results on the assessment of the cutting surface of the grinding wheel through two generalized indicators: the first is a set of factors that contribute to the self - organization of the wear process, the second is the accumulation of defects in the surface layer of the grinding wheel. An analytical relationship establishing a relationship between performance, wear, cutting forces, surface quality parameters with the accumulation of defects is proposed.
