Control in the management of public and private resources

A significant difference in the objectives of the activities of state and commercial economic entities predetermines the difference in the mechanisms of control and audit in terms of resource management by management personnel. Control in the public sector of the economy is focused on compliance with legal norms and protection of public interests, while in the private sector the emphasis is on achieving efficiency based on the results of activities. The authors consider the control function in the public and private sectors of the economy of the Russian Federation separately. The author’s systematization of control objectives in the current economic conditions is also presented. The modern economic sector is characterized by a variety of industries and an increase in the number of economic entities, which makes it relevant to study the control mechanisms that ensure compliance with the law and protect the interests of society. An analysis of state control instruments is also presented, in particular, an assessment of their role and effectiveness in private organizations is presented. Recommendations were developed to improve control systems to reduce offenses and increase efficiency. The work uses analytical and comparative methods, as well as a descriptive approach to identify differences in control mechanisms.
